How to White Label your Ad Server

By default, AdGlare serves content using the following URLs:
  • yourbusinessname.engine.aglare.net
  • yourbusinessname.cdn.aglare.net
You can white label them by adding a CNAME DNS record to your own domain, allowing you to serve the ads from your own subdomain. There is no additional charge for using your own domains. This article explains how to set up these DNS records.

What can be white-labeled?

The following locations and services can be white-labeled:
A
Ad Serving Domains. Ads are requested from this domain. Defaults to yourname.engine.adglare.net.
B
External Reports. Pages where anyone can view campaign reports.

GoDaddy Instructions

If you're using GoDaddy as a domain registrar, I've outlined below how you can add these CNAME records.

1
Log in to your GoDaddy account.
2
Click Domains => Manage My Domains.
3
Click on your domain from the list.
4
On the DNS Zone File tab, click Add Record.
5
Fill out the form like on the screenshot.
This is an example for setting the engine's CNAME. Change 'mybusiness' for your actual AdGlare ad server name.

OK, done! How to activate the domains?

If you browse to your subdomain (like engine.yourdomain.com), you'll find an Activation Code with AdGlare's logo. Found it? Contact AdGlare customer support mentioning the URL(s) showing those activation codes. We'll then switch a few buttons here and you're ready to go. Note that it can take up to 24 hours for your CNAME records to be propagated throughout the world.

SSL-Support

If you wish to support SSL on your custom ad serving domain, please send us a wildcard certificate for *.yourdomain.com including the private key. Your certificate will then be installed on our infrastructure, after which your ad serving domain will be available on https:// as well.
